Boz Scaggs and Michael McDonald
Famed guitarist and singer, Boz Scaggs has rocked the American music scene for more than 40 years. Known for his time as a guitarist and one-time lead singer with the Steve Miller Band during the 1960s, his talent launched him into a successful solo career in the 1970s. Scaggs’ solo hits include “Lido Shuffle” and “Lowdown”, both from his chart-topping album Silk Degrees (1976). He continued releasing hits into the 1980s, including “Breakdown Dead Ahead” and “Jojo” off of his album Middle Man (1980), and “Look What You’ve Done to Me” from the Urban Cowboy soundtrack, as well as “Miss Sun” from his greatest hits. Scaggs continues to tour and write songs worldwide.
Joining Boz Scaggs is another longtime rock sensation, five-time Grammy award-winner Michael McDonald, who started his career as part of The Doobie Brothers in 1976. After leaving the group in 1982, he released his first solo album If That’s What It Takes (1982), featuring hit singles “I Keep Forgettin’ (Every Time You’re Near)” and “I Gotta Try”, co-written with Kenny Loggins. Michael collaborated throughout his career with other famed artists as well, including Van Halen, Aretha Franklin and Patti LaBelle.
