Just as the nineties dissolved into the 21st century, Lit charged up rock ‘n’ roll with uncompromising punk energy and a power-pop punch. The band's signature and most popular song, "My Own Worst Enemy," was an instant hit, taking the Orange County-born group to Woodstock '99 and helping define an entire generation of SoCal power punk. Twenty years after its initial release, the hit single was certified Multi-Platinum, cementing Lit as one of the most influential bands to have come out of the post-grunge era of the late '90s. Now, the group—brothers Ajay (vocals) and Jeremy Popoff (guitar), Kevin Baldes (bass), and Taylor Carroll (drums)—continues to do what they do best, having released their seventh full-length album, Tastes Like Gold, in 2022.
