Sat, Nov 9 / 12:30pm

Join us for a celebration of Native American heritage as we highlight Fancy Dance at the Third Annual Northern Quest Dance Championships—a free event open to the public! On November 12, we’ll welcome 16 dancers to the Pend Oreille Pavilion stage to perform traditional Fancy Shawl and Fancy Double Bustle dances. Our competitors represent many tribes and will take home a share of $20,000 in cash prizes!

Performed by various Native American tribes, Fancy Dance celebrates tribal heritage as dancers don elaborate garments with brightly colored feathers and intricate beadwork. Paying homage to century-old traditions, dancers will enter the stage with every step, turn, and movement timed perfectly to the beat of the drum.
