Celeste Reves, a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation and a descendant of the Warm Springs Tribe of Oregon, is the owner and designer of Rock’n R Creations and WarPony Embroidery located in Pendleton, OR. Celeste grew up on the Umatilla Reservation and began learning the traditional teachings of hide tanning, weaving, beadwork, and sewing at an early age. She continued to sew and bead into adulthood and handed those teachings down to her daughters. In 2014, Celeste purchased her first commercial embroidery machine to make fashions for her family. As people began to see her work, she was asked to take orders, which is how WarPony Embroidery came to be. As her children grew older, Celeste began taking a few sewing orders under the name of Rock’n R Creations. Today, fashions from Rock’n R Creations and WarPony Embroidery, which range from traditional shirts, dresses, and regalia to formal attire and coats, are being worn across the US and Canada.
